Trapani

For too long considered only a base for exploring other places in Western Sicily, Trapani enjoys a graceful and elegant historic center. City rich in history and definitely worth a visit.

It seems to say Italy and Europe start here, when you arrive at Torre di Ligny.

Being a tip of land, the luck is to have the sea on both sides, the north part totally suitable for bathing and the south part dedicated to the port. The port, once a crossroads in the Mediterranean, and an ideal place for trade, is now a bustle of tourists heading to Favignana or Pantelleria.

Stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center, elegant among Baroque buildings. Stop and get lost in the sunset offered by the promenade. Promenade where the Tramontana beach has been restored in recent years.

One and a half kilometers from the historic center is the beach of San Giuliano, which has been very popular in recent years. At the gates of Trapani we find the salt pans with the white gold of Trapani, the Salt.
